Dab is the leader of the Dodos.

Biography

One dodo among a great flock of others, Dab is a fearless leader.

Dab was teaching the others not to fall into the smoldering pit. If they do, they will burn and die. Later, he saw Manfred, Sid, Diego and Roshan entering the camp, asking him to have their food back. But he refused, reminding them that sub-Arctic temperatures will force them underground for a million billion years despite the fact that they only have three melons.

Personality and Traits

Although he looks comedic, Dab is a very serious dodo, like others of his kind, that intended to prepare for the oncoming ice ages by gathering food, but was distracted as well, as he didn't realize when he was balancing his feet on the first melon, tripping himself off when it rolled to Roshan. He ordered the flock to attack and retrieve the melon.

Behind the Scenes

• Dab was voiced by Chris Wedge.
• Although believed to be burnt to death, it was implied jokingly in the Ice Age 2-disc "Super Cool Edition" DVD that it was all a stunt and that the scout is still alive and well, along with the other dodos that fell in.
