Pyroraptor was a species of carnivorous dinosaur called Dromaeosauridae. Pyroraptor lived during the Mesozoic Era, during the late Cretaceous period. It is the First Positively Identified Member of the Dromaeosaurids found in Europe. It was Discovered in Southeastern France, known for a few bones that was found in Provence in 1992, after a Forest Fire. The Dinosaur was named Pyroraptor olympius by Allain and Taquet in 2000.

Some Scientists believe that Pyroraptor would have Closely Resembled the Small, Bird-like Dinosaurs recently discovered in China (such as Microraptor (Which this Dinosaur Species also did not appeared in the Franchise)).
There has been Scientific Debate whether Pyroraptor is a juvenile specimen of another Dromaeosaur that lived alongside it, Variraptor (Which this Dinosaur Species did not appeared in the Franchise), although the two Dromaeosaur Species had differing ulnas. There is also debate on which Subfamily Pyroraptor belonged to within Dromaeosauridae; some have classified it as a Dromaeosaurine, Velociraptorine, or an Unenlagiine (a subfamily of dromaeosaurids sometimes classified to be their own distinct group closer to Birds). However, this Currently remains Unclear until more Specimens are Discovered.
The Design of Pyroraptor in Ice Age Village resembles to Pyroraptor from Universal's 2022 film, Jurassic World: Dominion.
